Walter, On
behalf of all the Flying Hoppers spread over the globe we would like to
congratulate to your 60th birthday! May you cause trouble on the world's
hockey pitches for at least the same amount of years again! Further
we would like to take the opportunity to present to you the award for the
"Flying Hoppers Player of the Year 2006"! This is the first time
that this award is presented. The goal is to decorate Flying Hoppers
members who made an outstanding contribution to the success of this club;
on and off the field. Walter, you may be surprised to hear that you have
been selected to receive this award not only for your infamous social
contributions throughout the year. More so, the award committee would like
to honour your outstanding on-field performance in Jakarta, where we all
were able to witness the importance of experience and seniority in the
game of hockey. Further, your impact off the field continues to be
immense: There is hardly a piece of Flying Hoppers merchandise (ties,
shirts, sweaters, etc.) that has not travelled through the ports of Hong
Kong. Last, but most importantly, as always, you have been an energetic
and emphatic ambassador for the very causes that the Flying Hoppers stand
for: friendship, hospitality and team Thank
